Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Trois danseuses by Edgar Degas was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction at Phillips in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 279,400.00 (€ 256,142.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Degas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Petite danseuse de quatorze ans in May last year with an auction result of USD 41,610,000.00 (€ 38,775,510.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Trois danseuses von Edgar Degas wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 279.400,00 (€ 256.142,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edgar Degas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Petite danseuse de quatorze ans im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.610.000,00 (€ 38.775.510,20).
