Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Elvira (Tabanelli 165) by Edgar Chahine for GBP 240.00 (€ 353.93). This price was achieved in the auction Prints and Multiples at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Chahine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Acrobate, 1939 in October 2011 with an auction result of EUR 5,738.00.
