Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Number of intersections, excercise #49 by Edgar Arceneaux for EUR 125.00. This price was achieved in the auction Vente en ligne d'Art Contemporain at Christies in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Arceneaux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Art of Creation III in October 2016 with an auction result of EUR 2,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Number of intersections, excercise #49 von Edgar Arceneaux für EUR 125,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Vente en ligne d'Art Contemporain bei Christies in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edgar Arceneaux erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Art of Creation III im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.000,00.
