Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work The Art of Creation II by Edgar Arceneaux for EUR 750.00. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art vente du jour at Christies in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edgar Arceneaux - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Art of Creation III, which sold at auction in October 2016 for EUR 2,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Art of Creation II von Edgar Arceneaux für EUR 750,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art vente du jour bei Christies in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Edgar Arceneaux mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Art of Creation III beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für EUR 2.000,00 versteigert wurde.
