Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, 1974 by Ed Moses was sold in the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,211.25 (€ 1,149.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ed Moses achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lift, 1991 in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 60,075.00 (€ 53,883.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled, 1974 von Ed Moses wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.211,25 (€ 1.149,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ed Moses erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lift, 1991 im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.075,00 (€ 53.883,76).
