Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La Porta della Carta, Venice by Ebenezer Wake Cook was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2009. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,829.20). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ebenezer Wake Cook - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elaine, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit La Porta della Carta, Venice von Ebenezer Wake Cook kam im Januar 2009 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.829,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ebenezer Wake Cook mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elaine beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.702,52) versteigert wurde.
