Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Eanger Irving Couse could be acquired at Christies in New York in May 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work The Potter changed hands for USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,423.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eanger Irving Couse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thunder Birds in January 2024 with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 715,783.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eanger Irving Couse konnte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art wechselte die Arbeit The Potter für USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.423,54) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eanger Irving Couse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Thunder Birds im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 715.783,95).
