Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman, which included the work Taos Pueblo at Night 9 x 12 in. framed 12 1/2 x 15 1/2 in. by Eanger Irving Couse. The »bidding war« ended at USD 70,935.00 (€ 68,715.49), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eanger Irving Couse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thunder Birds in January 2024 with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 715,783.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman durch, in der auch die Arbeit Taos Pueblo at Night 9 x 12 in. framed 12 1/2 x 15 1/2 in. von Eanger Irving Couse zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 70.935,00 (€ 68.715,49) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eanger Irving Couse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Thunder Birds im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 715.783,95).
