Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Watching by Eanger Irving Couse was sold in the Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021. The price achieved of USD 175,312.50 (€ 148,569.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eanger Irving Couse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Thunder Birds in January 2024 with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 715,783.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Watching von Eanger Irving Couse wurde im August 2021 in der Auktion Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 175.312,50 (€ 148.569,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eanger Irving Couse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Thunder Birds im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 715.783,95).
