Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Chant 30 x 36 in. framed 37 x 43 in. by Eanger Irving Couse was sold in the The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. The price achieved of USD 201,975.00 (€ 195,655.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eanger Irving Couse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Thunder Birds, which sold at auction in January 2024 for USD 819,000.00 (€ 715,783.95).
