Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2017 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Collection Arthur Brandt : Dada, Surréalisme et au-delà, which included the work La Conquista Della Luna by E. L. T. Mesens. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,125.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by E. L. T. Mesens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Noctambule (The Night Prowler), which sold at auction in May 2019 for EUR 12,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Collection Arthur Brandt : Dada, Surréalisme et au-delà durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Conquista Della Luna von E. L. T. Mesens zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 3.125,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von E. L. T. Mesens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Noctambule (The Night Prowler) beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert wurde.
