Sold at the lower estimate price
In December 2018 Il Ponte held the auction Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, which included the work Ils font bon menage by E. L. T. Mesens. The result of EUR 1,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by E. L. T. Mesens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Noctambule (The Night Prowler) in May 2019 with an auction result of EUR 12,500.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2018 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ils font bon menage von E. L. T. Mesens zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von E. L. T. Mesens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Noctambule (The Night Prowler) im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 12.500,00.
