Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Arthur's Seat from Levenhall by Duncan Cameron was sold in the British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures auction at Christies in London in March 2003. The price achieved of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,553.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Duncan Cameron - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Haymakers, which sold at auction in April 2009 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,682.21).
