Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work Boats on the shore by Duncan Cameron for GBP 637.50 (€ 741.74). This price was achieved in the auction Scottish Art at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Duncan Cameron achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Haymakers in April 2009 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,682.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Boats on the shore von Duncan Cameron für GBP 637,50 (€ 741,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Duncan Cameron erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Haymakers im April 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.682,21).
