In the Victorian and British Impressionist Pictures auction, the work A peaceful day in the Highlands sold for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,240.62) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Duncan Cameron - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Haymakers, which sold at auction in April 2009 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,682.21).
