Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Illuminated Man by Duane Michals was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in July 2019. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,291.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Duane Michals achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Portrait Of Andy Warhol' in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,356.39).
