In May 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Lifestyle Guide Series: Home Decoration by Duan Jianyu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,635.66), 72% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Duan Jianyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sister No.14 (Diptych) in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 4,000,000.00 (€ 455,316.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lifestyle Guide Series: Home Decoration von Duan Jianyu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.635,66) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Duan Jianyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sister No.14 (Diptych) im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.000.000,00 (€ 455.316,49).
