Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Pair Of Embroidered Shoes:The Girls All Look Good No.2 (Set Of Two Pieces)(Executed In 2011) by Duan Jianyu was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in March 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,200,000.00 – 2,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,416,000.00 (€ 160,668.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Duan Jianyu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sister No.14 (Diptych), which sold at auction in April 2019 for HKD 4,000,000.00 (€ 455,316.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Pair Of Embroidered Shoes:The Girls All Look Good No.2 (Set Of Two Pieces)(Executed In 2011) von Duan Jianyu wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.200.000,00 – 2.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.416.000,00 (€ 160.668,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Duan Jianyu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sister No.14 (Diptych) beobachtet, die im April 2019 für HKD 4.000.000,00 (€ 455.316,49) versteigert wurde.
