Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three works: (i) Untitled (lagrima II); (ii) Untitled (penetro); (iii) Untitled (sombrero rosa) by Dr. Lakra was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September 2018. The price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,982.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dr. Lakra - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Pomada), which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 24,500.00 (€ 35,183.61).

Die Arbeit Three works: (i) Untitled (lagrima II); (ii) Untitled (penetro); (iii) Untitled (sombrero rosa) von Dr. Lakra kam im September 2018 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 13.982,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dr. Lakra mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Pomada) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 24.500,00 (€ 35.183,61) versteigert wurde.
