Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tree study by John Murray was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2001. The price achieved of GBP 940.00 (€ 1,517.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Murray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pavillion and Mosque Attached to the Taj in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,755.49).
