Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work La Nube (The Rain) by Dr. Atl. Here, the upper estimate of USD 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 326,500.00 (€ 227,114.64). Admittedly, works by Dr. Atl have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mañana Luminosa in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,650,500.00 (€ 1,268,639.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Nube (The Rain) von Dr. Atl zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 326.500,00 (€ 227.114,64) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dr. Atl auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mañana Luminosa im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.650.500,00 (€ 1.268.639,51).
