Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Dr. Atl achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2008. In the Latin American Sale Evening Session auction, the work Iztaccíhuatl sold for USD 193,000.00 (€ 124,035.99) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dr. Atl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mañana Luminosa in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,650,500.00 (€ 1,268,639.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dr. Atl erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Sale Evening Session wurde die Arbeit Iztaccíhuatl für USD 193.000,00 (€ 124.035,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dr. Atl erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mañana Luminosa im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.650.500,00 (€ 1.268.639,51).
