This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Doug Hall; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Highway 50, Nevada #1 sold at auction in October 2016 with the realized price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,543.33).
