This artwork by Dorothy Tennant achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2003. In the BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES auction, the work Blinded by love sold for GBP 1,410.00 (€ 1,964.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Admittedly, works by Dorothy Tennant have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bathers in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 14,400.00 (€ 11,406.84).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Dorothy Tennant erzielte im Mai 2003 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES wurde die Arbeit Blinded by love für GBP 1.410,00 (€ 1.964,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dorothy Tennant auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bathers im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.400,00 (€ 11.406,84).
