Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Phoenix(Painted In 1995) by Dong Kingman. The price achieved of HKD 76,700.00 (€ 8,766.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 65,000.00 – 85,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dong Kingman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Typhoon Shelter, Hong Kong, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,297.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Phoenix(Painted In 1995) von Dong Kingman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 76.700,00 (€ 8.766,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 65.000,00 – 85.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dong Kingman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Typhoon Shelter, Hong Kong beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.297,74) versteigert wurde.
