The work Typhoon Shelter, Hong Kong by Dong Kingman was sold in the Modern Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,297.74), 63% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Typhoon Shelter, Hong Kong the most expensive artwork by Dong Kingman that we have observed at auctions so far.
