Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hong Kong Harbor by Dong Kingman was sold in the Modern Art Online auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in February last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 52,920.00 (€ 6,030.35). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dong Kingman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Typhoon Shelter, Hong Kong, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,297.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hong Kong Harbor von Dong Kingman wurde im Februar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Art Online bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 52.920,00 (€ 6.030,35) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Dong Kingman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Typhoon Shelter, Hong Kong beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.297,74) versteigert wurde.
