The work Church by the Sea by Donald McIntyre was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in July last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,650.00 (€ 9,135.46), 53% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Donald McIntyre; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Trevine No 1 sold at auction in April 2021 with the realized price of GBP 10,837.50 (€ 12,466.28).

Die Arbeit Church by the Sea von Donald McIntyre wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.650,00 (€ 9.135,46) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Donald McIntyre; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Trevine No 1 im April 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 10.837,50 (€ 12.466,28).
