This artwork by Donald McIntyre achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. In the Scottish Art auction, the work Memories of S. J. Peploe: Still Life with Roses and Fruit sold for GBP 5,760.00 (€ 6,614.08) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Donald McIntyre; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Trevine No 1 sold at auction in April 2021 with the realized price of GBP 10,837.50 (€ 12,466.28).

Peploe: Still Life with Roses and Fruit für GBP 5.760,00 (€ 6.614,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Donald McIntyre; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Trevine No 1 im April 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 10.837,50 (€ 12.466,28).
