Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Christies in London held the auction Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Two polo scenes: Going for the ball; and At the goal by Donald Grant. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,708.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Donald Grant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Cheetah and her Cubs, which sold at auction in December 2005 for USD 28,800.00 (€ 24,320.22).
