Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Buffalo at the Watering Hole by Donald Grant. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,570.00 (€ 3,988.01), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Donald Grant have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Cheetah and her Cubs in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 28,800.00 (€ 24,320.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Buffalo at the Watering Hole von Donald Grant zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.570,00 (€ 3.988,01) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Donald Grant auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Cheetah and her Cubs im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.800,00 (€ 24.320,22).
