Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2012 Christies in London held the auction Sporting and Wildlife Art, which included the work Giraffes by Donald Grant. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,965.09). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Donald Grant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Cheetah and her Cubs, which sold at auction in December 2005 for USD 28,800.00 (€ 24,320.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting and Wildlife Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Giraffes von Donald Grant zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.965,09) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Donald Grant mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Cheetah and her Cubs beobachtet, die im Dezember 2005 für USD 28.800,00 (€ 24.320,22) versteigert wurde.
