Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Domenico Cunego could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints auction, the work Designs after Raphael's Vatican paintings changed hands for GBP 239.00 (€ 381.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Domenico Cunego have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Zwei Entwürfe für Deckengemälde im Vatikan (?) nach Zeichnungen von Carlos Espinosa (1750-1830). in March 2008 with an auction result of CHF 3,600.00 (€ 2,295.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Domenico Cunego konnte im Juli 2002 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints wechselte die Arbeit Designs after Raphael's Vatican paintings für GBP 239,00 (€ 381,21) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Domenico Cunego auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Zwei Entwürfe für Deckengemälde im Vatikan (?) nach Zeichnungen von Carlos Espinosa (1750-1830). im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 3.600,00 (€ 2.295,75).
