Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Sheet Of Studies: The Sacrifice Of Isaac And Two Separate Studies For A Nativity by Domenico Beccafumi for USD 32,500.00 (€ 30,003.69). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of A. Alfred Taubman: Old Masters at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domenico Beccafumi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Holy Family in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,085,000.00 (€ 1,538,165.58).
