This artwork by Dolf Breetvelt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2003. In the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Figure sold for EUR 2,629.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dolf Breetvelt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition, which sold at auction in March 2011 for EUR 6,875.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Dolf Breetvelt erzielte im September 2003 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings wurde die Arbeit Figure für EUR 2.629,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dolf Breetvelt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition beobachtet, die im März 2011 für EUR 6.875,00 versteigert wurde.
