This artwork by Ding Fuzhi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2016. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet In Bronze Script sold for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,117.64) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ding Fuzhi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plum Blossoms in September 2019 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 80,238.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ding Fuzhi erzielte im September 2016 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Bronze Script für USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.117,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ding Fuzhi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plum Blossoms im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 80.238,42).
