Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ding Fuzhi could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Ancient Cypress changed hands for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,974.41) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ding Fuzhi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plum Blossoms in September 2019 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 80,238.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ding Fuzhi konnte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Ancient Cypress für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.974,41) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ding Fuzhi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plum Blossoms im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 80.238,42).
