A top price for Ding Foyan - as previously expected
The work Calligraphy by Ding Foyan was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The price achieved of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 40,449.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Calligraphy is the most expensive artwork by Ding Foyan that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Ding Foyan wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 40.449,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Calligraphy das teuerste Kunstwerk von Ding Foyan, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
