The work Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu by Ding Foyan was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,714.93), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Admittedly, works by Ding Foyan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 40,449.74).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu von Ding Foyan wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.714,93) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ding Foyan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 40.449,74).
