This artwork by Diego Giacometti achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2021. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Table aux torsades, modèle carré sold for USD 400,000.00 (€ 354,390.01) - well above the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Diego Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La console 'Hommage à Böcklin' in October this year with an auction result of GBP 5,122,000.00 (€ 5,881,478.99).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Diego Giacometti erzielte im November 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Table aux torsades, modèle carré für USD 400.000,00 (€ 354.390,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Diego Giacometti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La console 'Hommage à Böcklin' im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.122.000,00 (€ 5.881.478,99).
