This work of art by Destiny Deacon could be acquired at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Australian Art auction, the work Australian Man And Doll C - From Colour Blinded Series changed hands for AUD 2,880.00 (€ 1,693.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Other works by Destiny Deacon have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in August 2009 by the work Australian Meloncholy [Sic|AID202484] at AUD 4,560.00 (€ 2,680.91).
