Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian Freefall (From Forced Into Images Series) by Destiny Deacon. The price achieved of AUD 3,360.00 (€ 1,975.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Other works by Destiny Deacon have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2009 the work Australian Meloncholy [Sic|AID202484] was auctioned for AUD 4,560.00 (€ 2,680.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2009 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Freefall (From Forced Into Images Series) von Destiny Deacon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 3.360,00 (€ 1.975,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Destiny Deacon konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2009 die Arbeit Australian Meloncholy [Sic|AID202484] für AUD 4.560,00 (€ 2.680,91) versteigert.
