Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Apples by Derrick Greaves. The price achieved of GBP 832.00 (€ 970.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Derrick Greaves achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Labourers with dog in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,684.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Apples von Derrick Greaves zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 832,00 (€ 970,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Derrick Greaves erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Labourers with dog im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.684,35).
