Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Derrick Greaves could be acquired at Bonhams in London in April 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Bouquet Red-Black on White changed hands for GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,106.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Derrick Greaves have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Labourers with dog in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,684.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Derrick Greaves konnte im April 2021 bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Bouquet Red-Black on White für GBP 3.570,00 (€ 4.106,54) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Derrick Greaves auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Labourers with dog im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.684,35).
