Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2006 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Orange Cloud by Denis Bowen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 420.00 (€ 624.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Denis Bowen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Form Through Action in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,675.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orange Cloud von Denis Bowen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 420,00 (€ 624,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Denis Bowen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Form Through Action im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.675,74).
