Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2008 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian untitled by Del Kathryn Barton. The price achieved of AUD 6,000.00 (€ 3,502.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Del Kathryn Barton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nobody's Baby Now, 2008 in November 2020 with an auction result of AUD 129,150.00 (€ 108,093.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2008 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian untitled von Del Kathryn Barton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 6.000,00 (€ 3.502,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Del Kathryn Barton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nobody's Baby Now, 2008 im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 129.150,00 (€ 108.093,40).
