In the Important Old Master & British PicturesDay Sale Including Property From The Collection Of The Princely House Of Liechtenstein auction, the work A lateral panel from an altarpiece: Saint Peter and Paul sold for GBP 145,250.00 (€ 184,541.76) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Defendente Ferrari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pietà, which sold at auction in January 2007 for USD 540,000.00 (€ 415,448.53).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Defendente Ferrari erzielte im Juli 2008 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Old Master & British PicturesDay Sale Including Property From The Collection Of The Princely House Of Liechtenstein wurde die Arbeit A lateral panel from an altarpiece: Saint Peter and Paul für GBP 145.250,00 (€ 184.541,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Defendente Ferrari mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pietà beobachtet, die im Januar 2007 für USD 540.000,00 (€ 415.448,53) versteigert wurde.
