Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Defendente Ferrari could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Old Master Paintings Including European Works of Art auction, the work King Solomon changed hands for USD 11,875.00 (€ 8,001.48) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Defendente Ferrari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pietà in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 540,000.00 (€ 415,448.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Defendente Ferrari konnte im Januar 2008 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings Including European Works of Art wechselte die Arbeit King Solomon für USD 11.875,00 (€ 8.001,48) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Defendente Ferrari erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pietà im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 540.000,00 (€ 415.448,53).
