In the American Art auction, the work The Wonders of Ivory (Swapping Yarns) sold for USD 62,500.00 (€ 56,849.19) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dean Cornwell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study for 'The History of Transportation' Mural, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 137,500.00 (€ 115,565.64).
