Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Confrontation At The Saloon by Dean Cornwell was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,620.47) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dean Cornwell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study for 'The History of Transportation' Mural in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 115,565.64).

Die Arbeit Confrontation At The Saloon von Dean Cornwell wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.620,47) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dean Cornwell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study for 'The History of Transportation' Mural im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 115.565,64).
